Tips for finding the perfect Land for Building House

There are many features to consider while choosing a house such as land, location, the way it’s built as well as the neighbourhood and community that you will be a part of for the rest of your life. So if you’re looking to buy land or to buy (or rent) a house, consider sustainability criteria (location and design) when comparing the locations of different properties.
Here are some “location efficiency” issues to consider. Always seek a property that

  •     …is located close to friends, family, super market, school, parks and other services and facilities. All these should be within a walking distance from your home so as to save gas, money, driving time, reduce stress etc.

  •         …already has a house built that can easily be renovated and reused. If a structure needs to be demolished then do so technically so that you can recycle, reuse, donate, or even sell its salvage materials.
  •          ...has roads, water, wastewater and utility lines.
  •          …lies within floodplain zone i.e. does not have earthquake fault, or on coastal land below sea level, vulnerable to erosion, or located in a tsunami zone etc.
  •          …is a Greenfield site (i.e., land that has never been developed / cleared / built on before)
  • …away from main road so that you have pollution and noise free atmosphere.
